Summary of Cause Populi Marketing Grant

The main purpose of the Cause Populi marketing grant is to enhance the visibility, online presence, community engagement and fund raising aspects of qualifying nonprofit institutions. Cause Populi, LLC will provide grants of up to $50,000 per project to qualifying nonprofits. Grant applications and awards will be reviewed on a periodic basis. The grant is awarded as a matching in-kind donation to the selected non-profit institution(s), and may only be applied towards specific marketing and communications services. Administrative salaries, wages, facilities and equipment are not covered under the Grant program.

• NOTICE: A new cycle of the Cause Populi Worthy Cause Grant Program has been established for the first quarter of 2013. We will start accepting applications on February 1, 2013.
• DEADLINE: The deadline for grant applications for this cycle will be the 21st of March, 2013. Applications received after this date may be disqualified.
• AWARD PROCESS: Applications will be screened for eligibility upon submission. Eligible applications will be reviewed, and awards will be made upon completion and submission of all relevant evidence and documentation. Reviews and award are made on a first-come, first-serve basis until the award funds allocated for the quarter have been exhausted. The application process is competitive. Qualified applicants may need to undergo an interview process prior to award. Cause Populi, LLC and its Grant Committee Members will determine (at their sole discretion) the recipient(s) of the grant and the amount of the award. Grants may be awarded no later than 60 days following the date of the grant application.
• MATCHING GRANT: The grant will match or subsidize up to US $3 dollars per every dollar contributed by the recipient organization towards the project. In-kind services, equipment or staff provided by the recipient are not applicable as a matching contribution.
• ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: ONLY the following types of projects may be eligible for the grant: Branding (Logo, Taglines, Stationery, etc.), Graphic Design, Communications and Marketing Plans, Infographics, Online Marketing Services, Social Media Development, Website Development, Mobile Site Development, Mobile Apps, and Search Engine Marketing. • FAIR MARKET VALUE OF PROJECT: The grant awards subsidies based on fair market value assessments. Applicants are encouraged to submit quotes and proposals from US based professional firms as a way to determine project values at prevailing market rates. Cause Populi will verify these submissions and may request additional quotes from third parties as a way of making a fair market value determination.
• Donated or subsidized services will be distributed under this program to qualifying organizations only, not to individuals.
• This grant award is only available to nonprofits with 501c(3) designation.
• The grant award and services may not be transferred, donated or resold.
• The grant award may be applied towards a specific project, or a group of related projects. Applicants may attach documentation describing the project in detail. The information contained in all submissions is confidential.
• Submissions will only be accepted if submitted through the online application form, below. For compatibility, we recommend using the latest versions of the following web browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9.
• Submissions are construed as containing an electronic signature. All applications will be verified for authenticity. Non-responsive and non-verifiable applications will be discarded.
• Organizations must represent and warrant that they are willing to provide information to Cause Populi for the purposes of creating a case study or testimonial of this donation, and give Cause Populi credit in the materials funded through this grant.
